Valerie Millicent Joy (Krieger) Leverett of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in hospice care on August 17, 2022, at age 86 in The Maples at Har-ber Meadows in Springdale, Ark.
Originally from Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of Harry and Martha Krieger. She is survived by her five children, David M. Leverett of Cuenca, Ecuador; Lise Leverett-Kelley of Fairport, N.Y.; Teresa M. Leverett-Siegart of Hampton, N.H.; Stephen Leverett of North Yarmouth, Maine; and Christopher Q. Leverett of Fairport, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren.
Valerie was a life-long learner and avid lover of art, music, and literature. She voraciously embraced traveling the United States, Europe, and Japan before settling in Eureka Springs. She will be missed by many devoted friends and family whose lives she touched with her intellect, humor, and wisdom.
A private memorial will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a local ASPCA in her name.
