And that means getting high on tryptophan after eating one or twenty pieces too many of turkey and certainly too much of the stuffing that goes with it. It’s a different kind of Thanksgiving to say the least, one probably best with a small gathering if one at all. Use the tryptophan as an excuse to stay home and enjoy the quiet rather than the crazy holiday rush on Thursday. Use it again to say, “Nah, I’m not going Black Friday shopping.” If you absolutely can’t stand to stay inside go to a local bar, listen to a little music, have a quick beer. My personal suggestion is go to Gravel Bar on Saturday and listen to Whiskey Menders. She just might blow that mask right off your face with how she can belt a tune. -j
