Regarding State Hwy. 103 and US Hwy. 62, a lady called me that she has recently been diagnosed with cancer and requires treatments; however, she will be required to alter her medical appointments due to Nimbus Equipment interfering with her trip plans.
On August 14, returning from a medical appointment in Fayetteville, I encountered on Hwy. 103 south of Green Forest, a delay in excess of 45 minutes due to the highway being blocked for Nimbus equipment.
I was informed that a common carrier has notified residents on Hwy. 103S that due to delivery of materials to the Nimbus Wind Farm, deliveries will require alternate locations other than their homes.
Remember County Judge David Writer has given the Nimbus Wind Farm our county roads. On August 11, I got lost on CR 905 less than a mile from my home, a road I have traveled for over 30 years! CR 905 has been so altered and un-marked that a resident cannot navigate.
On August 16, my wife encountered CR 905 blocked to traffic. She had to exit her vehicle and request a worker to remove the barrier so she could proceed the half-mile home.
Thank you, Carroll County Judge David Writer for signing the Road Use Agreement that has allowed this destruction of Carroll County roads.
Please do not say you had to sign the RUA or Nimbus would use the roads anyway and the county would have to pay for repairs. There are state laws allow that you to set weight limits and other restrictions on county roads for their protection.
