Timothy Reed McGriff of Green Forest, Ark., was born in Warsaw, Indiana, on Sept. 18, 1942, to William David and Margaret Lucille (Murphey) McGriff. Timothy passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022, in Green Forest at age 80.
Timothy was Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Navy for 21 years. Part of that time he was an engineer with the Navy Seabees. Later in life he worked as a postal carrier in Eureka Springs.
He was of the Baptist faith and loved taking care of rescue dogs at McGriff’s Dog Sanctuary. He loved the Razorbacks and watching the games.
Timothy is survived by his wife Mary Sims McGriff; sisters Patricia Patelle and her husband, Steve, of Vincennes, Indiana, and Susan Elaine Rapisarda of Berryville, Arkansas; brother David Allen McGriff and his wife, Ruth Evon of Berryville, Ark.; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret McGriff; brother-in-law Victor Rapisarda; and nephew Patrick McGriff.
