Maybe if someone had warned us about the dangers of plastic, we’d still be drinking Coke in returnable glass bottles.

Maybe if someone had warned us about automobile exhaust preventing us from breathing crystal clean air, we’d still be riding horses.

Maybe if someone had warned us that Gutenberg’s printing press would lead to uppity newspapers and honorable books that now require banning, we’d still rely on monks brushing calligraphy.

Progress is not synonymous with good. But it is synonymous with movement, growth and advancement.

Artificial Intelligence, shortened to AI (which looks like Al which rhymes with Hal), absorbs information and recognizes patterns it can flawlessly mimic. What takes us years takes AI seconds.

AI is scary because we have no idea of its capabilities. But Orville and Wilbur probably never envisioned Etihad Airways, either.

Yesterday, Nvidia, a company that makes computer chips for AI software, became the most valuable company in the world.

Maybe we should warn someone.
