Beaver Tailwaters:
Water levels are holding high in the tailwaters with the continued rain. We are also expected to have more rain towards the middle of the week, as well. With the higher water levels, you will need to fish your baits a little higher in the water column. Trolling is also another great option as well. You can cover a lot of water, and you can also get your baits down to the level you want.
The trout bite is off and on, but you definitely have to search for them. I am still getting reports of folks taking advantage of the new spoonbill area opened up for this year, and they’re snagging a few. Let’s hope things will dry out a little and get our water levels back down a little.

Beaver Lake:
Striper fishing can be good when you’re in the right area, we are seeing a lot of top water activity early in the morning. Striper, whites and bass are all chasing bait to the surface right now. Get out there early and pay attention to the main lake points, you’ll see where the fish are as they are hitting top water.
Twenty to 80 feet of water have been holding the stripers. Water is starting to clear up on the south end but there’s still some floaters, so be careful out there. Some fish being caught have spawned out and some still have eggs in them. Crappie are roaming on flats 5 to 20 feet of water. Water temps mid to high 60s throughout the whole lake.
