Beaver Tailwaters
With the higher water levels, fishing has been pretty good this past week. The trout have been spread out throughout the tailwaters. They’re responding good to various dough baits, Fire eggs and minnows. Pitching a 1/4 oz. spoon has also produced some nice numbers.
The walleye bite is still pretty slow, talking with folks who fished this past weekend, a lot of short males have been caught, but that’s about it. Trolling has been the preferred method, along with jigging soft plastics.
Spoonbill have come up to spawn, as well. When you see a dark shadow in the water, it is probably one of these massive fish. The water levels are starting to fall however, I do not anticipate the bite to fall off.

Beaver Lake
Striper fishing has been a little tough with the last big rains. The mudline is mixing around mid-lake. Look for fish on flats close to a channel swing. Use your graphs to locate bait with feeding fish.
Some top water has been showing up first thing in the morning and late afternoon before the sun goes down. Live bait has been best fishing around the mudline. No reports on crappie with the south end being muddy, and crappie were moving shallow before this last rain. Water temps 54° to 60°.
