Pictured are Brandon Lewis and his buddies from Oklahoma with a 3-man limit of trout. These guys boated 86 fish!
Beaver Tailwaters:
WOW, am I ready for this cold weather to take a hike! With today warming up nicely and the highs for the next 8 days, fishing should great! The floodgates are closed and the Corps has been flowing 1804–1823 megawatts per hour.
We found drifting Pautzke fire worms along with fire minnows are doing really well. If you are able to find some good slack water, Fire bait and spoons are pulling nice numbers as well. The walleye spawn is still progressing and with the higher temperatures forecast, this should spark a pretty good bite.
Trolling has been pretty productive, also working crank baits have put a few in the boat as well. Try to focus your baits in the 15 foot-of-water range while trolling. Remember, until the water temperatures come up, these fish will be sluggish. You need to adjust your retrieve accordingly. Hope you all are able to get out and enjoy the days to come!

Hooked on Fishing Guide Service, Beaver Lake:
Striper fishing has been picking up this week, look on channel swings and deep treetops. The bait and fish have pushed down deeper, around 35 to 40 feet down from the surface with the recent cold fronts coming through.
Stripers have been moving a lot and not sticking around an area too long, so keep covering water and don’t be afraid to pick up and look in different areas of the lake. Crappie fishing has also picked up with the water warming up in the river arms. Look for them on flats and brush piles in 15 to 25 feet of water. Water temps 44° to 47° depending where in the lake you decide to fish.
