Hopefully, your annual excuse to blow stuff up or to see stuff blown up was a safe and successful one. Leo got to view his first serious fireworks with the Eagle Rock show from my parents’ backyard. He was a little scared but he did great. Hope those in Eureka didn’t get their ears blasted out with how loud our local show was. And speaking of local, Music in the Park is back and that means downtown is getting another round of music coming from Basin Park. I saw the flyer at the CAPC meeting, and it said that Nick Shoulders will be playing on Saturday with Willi Carlisle. So far summer has been looking up, let’s keep it that way! ~j
