For 33 years Jimmy James has been singing, dancing and entertaining with his renowned impressions of iconic performers of our time; Cher, Eartha Kitt, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Liza to name a few. Beginning his career with a Marilyn Monroe impression, the photo of which is still mistaken for the blonde bombshell herself, James is a nightlife legend. Impersonating artists that he is a big fan of, recent additions include Adele, Lana Del Ray, Elvis and Rihanna.
In addition to impressions, James creates original dance music in collaboration with producers. His biggest hit “Fashionista” is still played today and actually premiered on season one of RuPaul’s Drag Race. James is the guest speaker for Fall Diversity, addressing the crowd in Basin Park at noon. The big show is at The Auditorium on Friday at 8 p.m., tickets available at theaud.org.
