The Carroll County Music Group will present the Ninth Annual “We’ve Got Talent” Fundraiser Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at the Eureka Springs Auditorium.
Sharon Parker, CCMG president, said the Ozarks Chorale, Holiday Island Singers, and the Celebration Choir will be featured. Berryville High School students will share some musical theatre selections from their upcoming presentation of Little Shop of Horrors, and four choirs from Berryville’s school choral programs will perform.
The 50-piece Carroll County Orchestra, under the direction of Jim Swiggart, will play orchestral selections, dancers from The Elite School of Dance will perform, and The Butterfly Women will bring a belly-dancing flair to the stage. The program will also include student soloists, performing a variety of classical or contemporary selections. The popular Harris Ridge Family Band will again be joining the performance roster this year.
This event helps to raise money for student scholarships to intensive camps for instrumental or vocal arts. The CCMG awards from 20 to 35 scholarships each year, and past scholarships have included band, orchestral, piano, string, voice, musical theater, and visual ensemble camps in Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee. Donations from individuals and businesses also help to support the efforts of the CCMG.
Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
