Editor,
Within the last few weeks just driving through town I have witnessed 4 (yes 4) people, mostly older, who have fallen on sidewalks downtown. Am sure many others have seen the same. This problem has been around for long time and the city seems to be totally indifferent to a potently serious situation… until someone is critically injured.
My concerns are not only for the safety of others but are also very personal, my wife will no longer shop downtown. The city officials seem to out to lunch on this issue… not important enough? I offer you a word that may cause a bit of movement toward resolving the problem… liability!
