Shirley Gene Rounsavall Jones of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born January 31, 1929, in Stuttgart, Ark., to William Dudley and Evelyn (Hoskins) Rounsavall. Shirley Gene passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Eureka Springs, Ark., at age 93.
Shirley was united in marriage to Cecil Ray Jones on January 16, 1978. She resided in Palestine, Ark., for many years before relocating to Eureka Springs. Shirley Gene was a licensed practical nurse specializing in geriatric care of patients for several years. She was a member of the Cup of Love Ministries in Eureka Springs and enjoyed playing Bingo at the ministry with friends and family.
Shirley is survived by her sons Terry Pike of Palestine, Ark., and Gene Pike of Eureka Springs, Ark.; daughters Theresa Cooper of Eureka Springs, Ark. and Dee Harkrider of Wheatley, Ark.; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Jones;, and sons Mike Pike and Pat Pike.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Cup of Love Ministries, 4032 E. Van Buren, Eureka Springs, AR 72632.
