Sandra Falk, 71, passed away from a heart attack on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022.

Sandy was born on Dec. 9, 1950, in Kadoka, South Dakota. She lost her birth mother early and was adopted by Lucille and Keith Cran in 1956. She spent her early years in Iowa and South Dakota.

Sandy graduated from high school in Yankton, S.D., and attended Mount Marty College. Where she graduated with a degree in Medical Technology.

She married Tom Falk on April 6, 1974. They had three children: Mandi born in 1976, Nicole born in 1977, and Keith born in 1980. She worked for 35 years as a medical technician at the V.A. hospital in Detroit, Mich. She retired in 2014 and moved with Tom to Eureka Springs, Ark., where she resided until her death.

Her greatest joy was her children and granddaughters. She never missed an opportunity to attend a swim meet, a musical performance, a volleyball tournament, or any other important events in her loved ones’ lives. She was excited about an upcoming trip to Mexico with her family. She loved fiercely and was devoted to those she loved. She will be missed by all of those who loved her, but especially by her daughters and her husband.

Sandy was a grandmother to four wonderful girls, but was considered a grandmother to many, many more. She loved reading, creating beautiful art, crocheting, and bowling. One memorable night in Michigan she even bowled a 301. Her laugh was infectious, her wit incredible, and she had a heart that was a bit too big for her body to handle.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Falk; two daughters, Mandi Peterson and Nicole Felter; as well as her beloved granddaughters Isabella, June, Charlotte and Lucy, as well as numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Lucille, her father, Keith, and her son, Keith. She is finally joining her mom and her son Keith, who she missed greatly.

A celebration of life was held on Dec. 10, with a bigger event planned for the spring.
