Ronald L. Hegedus of Eureka Springs, born August 18, 1937, in Bethlehem, Pa., to Ernest & Irene (Chontos) Hegedus, passed away peacefully February 6, 2024, at age 86.
Ron proudly served his country for 21 years in the U.S. Air Force and by an additional 11 years as a Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Custody Deputy. He was known and touched so many lives for his generosity, sage advice and sense of humor.

Ron is survived and greatly missed by his loving wife of 65 years, June M. (Dunn) Hegedus, his blessed daughters Yasmine A. Smith and husband, David, of Eureka Springs; Alison Rowell and husband, Trevor, of Lompoc, Calif.; his treasured grandchildren Ian L. Imler, Corey Rowell and wife, Laura, Brett Rowell and wife, Ashlynn; and his amazing great-grandchildren Imogen, Dean, Charlotte; and the many other family and friends who will remember him with love and fond memories.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Ernest & Irene Hegedus and his only sibling, Frank Hegedus.
