Roger R. “Tony” Popovac, Jr., of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born August 6, 1946, in St. Louis, Mo., to Roger Popovac, Sr., and Joanne (Ceresia) Popovac. Tony passed away September 2, 2021, in Fayetteville at age 75.
On November 2, 1996, Tony was united in marriage to Mary (Font) Popovac who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his only sister Diane Schwarz of Innsbrook, Mo.; children Rochelle Morgan of Austin, Texas, Amy Hinson of Baton Rouge, La., Mark Popovac and wife, Lauren Nuhn Popovac, of Austin, Texas; stepsons Adam Black of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Nathan Black of Prairieville, La.; grandchildren Tyler Hill, Albert Hinson IV, Braden Hinson and Emily Morgan; niece Julie Schwarz Allman of Clayton, Mo.; beloved dog and devoted companion, Vinnie Popovac, and other family members and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Roger, Sr., and Joanne Ceresia Popovac; and brother-in-law Elmer “Bud” Schwarz Jr.
He retired as a vice-president of a national insurance company, was a Fishing and Tour Guide at Dogwood Canyon, Kaptain of Kaptains Klub of Eureka Springs and also Parade Marshal of Krewe of Krazo.
