Attorney Cheryl Maples who fought for, and won, rights for we lesbians and gay men died on August 22. Many of us knew Cheryl and loved her very much. She fought hard battles for the dispossessed and for lesbian and gay rights in our state.
Her last words to us were, “Part of me will always be in Eureka Springs.” We will miss her forever.
