For 28 years, People Helping People has provided prescription medication assistance for individuals in need in Carroll County. While the all-volunteer organization may not be highly visible to the public, the mission continues to be critical to the people it serves. In 2018, People Helping People provided 920 prescriptions for county residents.
Through the innovative thinking of board members Laura Covington and Karen Mills, People Helping People has developed an additional funding mechanism through a booth at Hobbies and Homestead, 2100 E. Van Buren. Board members contribute their treasures.
The booth has become so popular that it is now ranked #3 of the more than 70 booths. The unique offerings are ever changing. And to know that your purchase will help a family member, friend or neighbor in need warms the heart.
