Original Ozark Folk Festival 2025 – a celebration in community, culture, and creativity

2001

August 31 might be a good time to get plenty of restorative sleep at night, start fixing a healthy breakfast, keep up with some mood-lifting exercise during the day and get your body and spirit in the best shape possible to fully enjoy three days of really good music shows, workshops, folk crafts, street dancing and more at the 78th Original Ozark Folk Festival from Sept. 4 – 6.

The CAPC’s sponsorship of this annual event has been thoughtfully put to its maximum best use by festival organizer and producer, Nancy Paddock, who wove together folk heritage and innovation in both music and art to present a single harmonious weekend.

On the music schedule are the best of folk bands and artists from around the region, plus a couple of super talented imports certain to make new fans of anyone who hasn’t yet heard them.

And, for the first time in OOFF history – thanks to web designer Katelyn Jerrell – one can now hear the music of almost every act ahead of time on the festival website, ozarkfolk.com.

The site is a pleasure to browse and loaded with music clips and artist information in addition to a detailed schedule, so planning where to be and when should be a breeze. There’s even a sign up for the Festival newsletter in case of updates and changes.

Over on Facebook, the Ozark Folk Festival page adds music and events taking place off-site in area clubs and bars, along with other interesting festival-related posts, so be sure to visit there, as well.

From old-time traditional to more contemporary interpretations of folk genre, this festival has it covered. In short, you fans of folk music in all its heritage and modern iterations, get ready to enjoy an epic weekend!
