Old friends and new faces show heart and soul for Blues Festival

987

Fortify yourself for the long blues haul! Thursday and Friday, Josh Hoyer brings his piano, gritty voice, and Soul Colossal’s tough rhythm section and horns to the Cathouse for some R & B rave–ups. Local favorites Earl and Them play Arkansas R & B early shows with aplomb and sophistication Thursday and Friday at Chelsea’s. Former Eurekan and talented guitar slinger Patrick Sweany plays Friday through Sunday at Chelsea’s, and at Sunday’s early show he’ll play a little light, then scorch the crowd by mid-afternoon. A trademark!

  1. Interesting that you failed to list a single act at the actual Blues Weekend shows. They didn’t grease your palms enough?
