Miss Wilma could live with you

Editor,

It is not often that one looks forward to a trip to the bank, but Miss Wilma, my Good Shepherd foster dog, and I were very excited to attend the “Wags and Whiskers Beauty Pageant” at our local Equity Bank here in Eureka Springs – a benefit for Good Shepherd this past Friday!

All the bank staff were so welcoming and allowed Miss Wilma to “show” even though she couldn’t win a prize since the judges were all from Good Shepherd. Still, Wilma got to wear her “Adopt Me Please” outfit and have a fun time visiting with all the dogs & people.

Thank you Equity Bank for doing so much to raise money and materials for the homeless dogs and cats of our county.

As a foster parent and volunteer, I see behind the scenes how hard the shelter staff work, and how many hours the board and volunteers put in to raise the necessary funds each year. And no amount of money could buy the level of love and commitment shown by the shelter & thrift store staff & volunteers day after day.

Miss Wilma welcomes all inquires about adoption thru Good Shepherd – she’s a real family dog, good with cats, loves to snuggle, walks well on a leash, doesn’t bark… has all her shots.  Just give me a call to set up a meet ‘n greet. (479) 244-7756.
