MaryLynn Therese Barry April 2, 1948 – April 18, 2022

MaryLynn Therese Barry of Holiday Island, Ark., was born April 2, 1948, in Chicago, Ill., to Edward and Florence (Poynton) Barry. MaryLynn passed away April 18, 2022, in Holiday Island at age 74.

MaryLynn worked as an educator, starting countless first grade students on their educational journeys in Phoenix, Ariz. She later followed her brother, Donald, to Eureka Springs after retiring from teaching.

She loved the solitude and peacefulness she found in the Ozarks, being near her oldest brother and sister-in-law and seeing see her nieces and nephews, near and far, mature and raise families of their own.

MaryLynn loved to laugh, dearly loved animals, had a great sense of humor and a tremendous capacity to care for and love others. She will surely be missed here on earth but welcomed by her family members in Heaven!

MaryLynn is also survived by her brother David B. Barry and wife, Linda, of Phoenix, Ariz., brother-in law Dr. Richard H. Barrett II and wife, Amy, of Fort Smith, Ark.; nephews Marc Barry and wife, Belinda, of Rogers, Ark., Steven Barry and wife, Lori, of Fennimore, Wis., and David Elijah Barry of Peoria, Ariz.; nieces: Robin Love of Gainesville, Fla., Jennifer Hurtado and husband, Manuel L. Hurtado II, of Peoria, Ariz.; great nephews Benjamin, Nicholas, Hunter Barry and wife, Andrea, of Montfort, Wis., Ian, Barrett, Manuel L. Hurtado III, and Miles; great nieces Jordan, Amy and Toni.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Florence Barry, and her brother, Donald Barry.
