Marion Asa (Bus) McKay of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born March 28, 1931, in Carey’s Run, Ohio, to Sterling and Lula Irene (Pemberton) McKay. Bus passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, in Eureka Springs at age 90.
Bus was a mechanical engineer for Boeing in St. Louis, Mo., and retired to Holiday Island with his wife Katie. They enjoyed golfing and gardening in their retirement years.
Bus is survived by his niece, Diane McKay Harmon of Xenia, Ill.; his nephew Alan McKay of South Elgin, Ill.; his wife’s niece Susan Johnson of Foley, Ala; his nephew, Ross McKay from Ohio; and special friend Polly from Peachtree Village where he resided.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Harsham (Katie) McKay; parents Sterling McKay and Lula McKay Phillips; stepfather Richard Phillips who raised him; two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 29, at the Eureka Springs Cemetery with Pastor Don Veazey officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church in Cassville, Mo., where Bus was a member.
