Magical people in a magical city

Editor,

After a two-year hiatus, Out In Eureka was able to host a successful Diversity Weekend. I thank the City of Eureka Springs for the funding to help us promote this event. I wish I could name every person, business and organization that participated in Spring Diversity, but it would mean a full page advertisement.

I thank all the venues that held events, many family friendly, with some of the best entertainment of live music, art and drag shows we have seen since 2019.

I thank every business that participated in the wristband shopping discount program and all the volunteers who helped during diversity weekend.

I thank the organizations, vendors and fantastic entertainers, D.J. Testube, award winning singers Ginger Doss & Lynda Millard, and the performers for “Drag in the Park.” A big thank you to our guest speaker Laura Bell Phillips and to the Free Mom/Dad hugs Arkansas and Eureka Springs chapter for passing out 660 rainbow leis – We

ran out – for the PDA in the park.

This diversity weekend was covered by The Gayly, KESA radio, KUAF/NPR, The Advocate, and KY3 news.

Eureka Springs diversity weekends do not belong to any one person or business, they belong to the residents of this magical city and to the many visitors who come to celebrate.
