Joe R. Robinson of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born Feb. 23, 1940 in Eureka Springs, Ark., son of Frank and Fannie (Gunnels) Robinson. He departed this life Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 in Berryville, Ark., at age 77.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and three tours in Vietnam. He also worked for the Eureka Springs School as a school bus driver for 20 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his children, son, Joe Dale Robinson and wife, Tammy of Butterfield, Mo.; daughter, Jeannie Lee Birchfield and husband, Bobby of Greenbrier, Ark.; daughter, Nathina Joleen Robinson of Eureka Springs, Ark.; four brothers, Edward, Gene, Lee and Jack Robinson; sister, Jimmie Lou Robinson; grandson, Samuel James Birchfield of Greenbrier, Ark.; grandson, Joe Dale Robinson, Jr. of Butterfield, Mo.; granddaughter, Shelby Jo Robinson of Butterfield, Mo.; four great grandchildren, Joe Dale, III, Rhyder, Haylee and Karter; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
On June 26, 1963 he was united in marriage to Orva Lee (Looney) Robinson who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
