Jimmy Earl McCain of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born on February 19, 1956, in Harrisburg, Ark., to Charles and Ethel Myron (Perry) McCain. Jimmy passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, in Little Rock, Ark., at age 67.
Jimmy enjoyed photography, fishing, singing, and playing the guitar. He was a member of several organizations including Commemorative Air Force, Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas, Reel Recovery and The Grey Eagles. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974 through 1978, where he became an Air Traffic Control Operator. After 45 years in aviation, Jimmy had recently retired from American Airlines as a Captain flying the Boeing 777.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charleen Marie Zierenberg McCain of Eureka Springs, Ark.; brothers Charles McCain, Jr., and his wife, Trish, and Jerry McCain and his wife, Rita, both of Marked Tree, Ark., sister Sandra Lawson and her husband, Sam, of Germantown, Tenn.; sister-in-law Donna Zierenberg of Tacoma, Wash., numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ethel Myron McCain.
