Jenny Flood Wagget, 73, of Rogers, Arkansas departed from this Earth on November 7, 2021
Jenny was born December 26, 1947, in Bandera, Texas, to Charlotte Purdy Flood and Edwin Orville Flood II.
Jenny was a student at Douglas MacArthur Highschool in San Antonio, Texas, where she was a cheerleader. She married Ronnie Swain in 1964 and welcomed the first of her two children, Chuck Swain in 1967, followed by her daughter, Dana Swain in 1970.
Jenny studied journalism and found her love of photography in the early ‘70s. She began her career in advertising and publishing with Skies Magazine of Tejas Airlines and Travel Host magazines.
She met and married the love of her life, David Wagget in 1978, and spent many happy years living at Medina Lake where they hosted an annual Easter Egg hunt for all of their friends and family.
Jenny and David bought a home in Waring, Texas, where Jenny began publishing the Hill Country Vista and Hill Country HomeStyle Magazines in the late ‘90s. After the loss of her beloved David, Jenny took her love of music and created the Old No. 9 Roadhouse Educational Facility for the Arts where she hosted some of the best Texas musicians in singer/songwriter workshops and concerts.
After visiting Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in 2002 Jenny fell in love with the local atmosphere and decided to make a home there. Jenny was involved in the production and promotion of the 58th Annual Ozark Folk Festival and spent her spare time enjoying creative writing and sharing her love of the arts with the many friends she made along the way.
Jenny is survived by her son, Charles Swain and partner Eddy Sanchez; daughter Dana Swain and grandson Jaden Thomas-Swain; brother Paul Flood and wife, Cindy, of Bulverde, Texas; sisters Cindy Rabon and husband, John, of Seguin, Texas, and Betsy Rawn and husband, Mike, of New Braunfels, Texas; stepbrother Keith Stefano of San Antonio, Texas; niece Christina Atkinson and husband, George, of Fredericksburg, Texas; nephew James Flood of Bulverde, Texas; nephew Paul Flood of Selma, Texas; niece Katie Flood Rodriguez and husband Robert of Bulverde, Texas; nephew Austin Rabon of Seguin, Texas; niece Cheri Craig of Long Beach, Calif., and nephew Clay Flood of Austin, Texas; and many great nieces and nephews.
Jenny is preceded in death by her parents Charlotte Purdy Livesay and Edwin Orville Flood II, brother Edwin Orville Flood III, Aunt Elizabeth “Eppie” Wallace, her loving husband David Wagget, and niece Kelley Shay Lewellen.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 12:30 p.m. at The Old No. 9 Roadhouse 523 Waring Welfare Rd Waring, Texas. All who knew and loved Jenny are welcome to come.
