Jane “Ginny” Wicks of Holiday Island, Ark., was born August 24, 1926 in Plainfield, New Jersey, daughter of Cedric and Elizabeth (Chickering) Ostrom. She departed this life Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Bentonville, Ark., at age 90.
Ginny was a member of the Holiday Island Community Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and Elks Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family.
On Oct. 5, 1968, she was united in marriage to Frank Wicks who survives her. She is also survived by her nine children, daughter, Colleen Epperson of Wagoner, Okla.; son Frank Wicks and wife, Elvesta, of Chesterfield, Mo.; daughter Sharon Ebert of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, George Wicks and wife, Genece, of Norman, Okla.; son, Fred Ebert and wife, Pamela, of Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Patty Ann Nootz of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Barbara Mitchell of Broadus, Mont.; son, Bill Ebert and wife, Linda, of Clearfield, Utah; daughter, Katherine Lockhart and husband, George, of Hookstown, Penn.; sister, Janet Cassidy of Ocean City, Md.; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Holiday Island Community Church, Holiday Island, Ark., with Pastor Jeff Timm officiating.
