Irma Jean (Putman) Morris passed away Sept. 17, 2017 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, from complications related to Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born June 6, 1930 in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Lawrence and Ruby (Bohannon) Putman.
She was a graduate of the Class of 1948 at Eureka Springs High School. One month after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Don Morris. They made their home in Torrance, Calif., where Irma worked for 20 years with the Torrance United School District. She studied painting and became an accomplished artist.
Love for her family was the most important thing in her life, they came first.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and half-sister, Lola Bolesworth.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Teafatiller (Kenny) of Lakewood, Calif., her son Dr. Gary Morris (April) of Las Vegas, Nevada, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister Barbara Butrick (Joe) of Baytown, Texas, nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends.
