That’s my goal anyway, especially since Jake Allen’s (who used to be my English teacher) trivia is themed around ‘80s music. This year my Spotify has become choked with enough ‘80s music to make Marty McFly feel comfortable in 2020, so this is a trivia night at Gotahold that I don’t want to miss. It’s an hour-and-a-half to prove just how smart your team of four is. There is a suggested donation of $5 per team to help support The Purple Flower, a domestic violence and sexual assault resource and support center. A trivia question of our own: What famous ‘80s singer testified at a 1985 congressional hearing along with musicians Frank Zappa and John Denver? You might remember it as a hearing that was organized by the Parents Music Resource Center.
