Inspiration Point Fire Department Auxiliary is hosting the 7th annual Firehouse BBQ Saturday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Firehouse #1 on Ozark Automotive Rd., six miles west of Eureka Springs on US 62.

This is an annual fundraiser and the food is out of this world because Austin Kennedy heads a team of chefs who slow cook pork and chicken. Included are homemade coleslaw and corn on the cob, tea, and dessert.

$8 for adults and $6 for those under 12.

All proceeds go to support the Inspiration Point Fire Department building and equipment fund, and the new Brush/Rescue truck will be on display. It carries 300 gallons of water for small brush fires in hard-to-get-to hills and hollows.

IPFD responds to all fires and traffic emergencies from the Benton County line to Lake Leatherwood along US 62, and is 100% volunteer staffed.
