The Eureka Springs Hospital Commission chose on Monday meeting to keep times at 2 p.m. During Public Comments, local constable Jim Wallace requested the commission change the meeting times saying that the time was “awkward” for the community.
Commissioner Brian Beyler voiced his opinion to keep meeting times where they currently are. He said that except during “strife time” that there wasn’t much difference in turnout between 2 p.m. and the previous meeting time of 6 p.m. Commissioner Kate Dryer agreed, saying that there was a period of several months where there was only a handful of public comments.
Chair Sandy Martin suggested that the commission hold “community meetings” in conjunction with the commission’s regular meetings with the purpose of informing the public of what the hospital is working on. The commission agreed to look at holding such meetings at least twice a year but did not change regular meeting times.
The commission also started to look at the first week of June for potential dates to meet with city council on a joint budget workshop. Martin said she wants the Arkansas Hospital Association to attend the meeting to give a third party look at how the hospital is performing compared to other Rural Emergency Hospital’s in the state. Beyler agreed in wanting an outside opinion on where the hospital stands, and Martin said she’d check with city council on availability.
Other Items:
- CFO Cynthia Asbury told commissioners that ER and Outpatient service numbers were increasing, saying that May’s visitation had surpassed April. She noted an income loss of $75,000 for the month of April and mentioned that audit expense and other one-time contract fees, such as with Pinnacle IT, had contributed to that loss.
- In the CEO report, Jodi Edmondson said that staff will be working on training courses for FEMA. On June 9, the hospital will provide a training at 5 p.m. on “Stop the Bleed” in the lower level of the hospital, and the Rural Health Redesign Center would meet with staff on Tuesday at the hospital.
wow, looks like the hillbillies that run that hospital and town won’t be happy until the hospital completely fails. nice job dummies
This is the biggest bunch of BS there has ever been and everyone knows it. Cynthia Asbury , and Jodi Edmonson have broken so many State and Federal Hippa Laws , Labor laws and down right lied about it and Sandy Martin claims she wants people to come to them with concerns and comments but yet they change the meeting times from 6pm to 2 pm knowing people are working. It’s all a joke. We will not stop until we accountability for the guilty and justice for the people they hurt. Mr Berry needs to stop helping protecting the criminals in this. He is a disgrace to every city leader that ever existed !
And still the harassment and bullying continues and is still completely overlooked by putting icing on a burnt cake. Just cover it up and no one will know and it will be forgotten about
