Dakoda’s “What Could be More American” article in the Feb. 11, 2026, Independent serves as “wake up call” to all concerned citizens to this administration’s manipulations that aim to rewrite American history in its image.
Dakoda presents a masterful account of the US Department of Interior’s recent “sanitization” of once historically accurate presentations of our nation’s history. Certain parts of our 250 years as a nation have not been pretty. But to systematically deny it is to seek to rewrite reality, furthering a more authoritarian agenda.
Dakoda cleverly uses the novel 1984 to showcase the similarity of our current government with the dystopian world imagined by the author George Orwell. It’s chilling, and his article is a must read. Keep writing, Dakoda.
