Heeere’s Jonny!

Every chef who’s earned his chops during years of working in good restaurants eventually dreams of being in charge, and for local chef Jonathan Streety that dream just came true. After pleasing the palates of Northwest Arkansans in fine dining establishments on Dickson Street in Fayetteville and in Eureka Springs for the past 25 years, he has taken the position of Executive Chef at the Queen Anne Mansion and Resort.

Known to all as Chef Jonny, Streety’s 30 years of overall experience in food service will serve well as he creates his own elegant menus and various dining services.

“I’m very excited,” Jonny said. “I’ve been blessed to work with many great chefs in the area, cultivating a skillset I’ve been proud to develop. I’ll be putting all that to good use here.

“My biggest interests lie in building different flavor compositions using familiar elements to make something new. I’ll be putting that spirit into our weekend dining events starting with Valentine’s weekend. Events will vary from wild game themed menus to vegetarian and keto friendly courses week to week.”

Chef Jonny is looking forward to beginning brunch in March. “I’ve had a lot of experience

and fun contributing to existing brunch services and have written and executed many brunches of my own in Eureka and around Northwest Arkansas. I’ll be serving different menu combinations each week, from venison sausage omelets with Norwegian goat cheese and duck egg Benedict to crepes with mascarpone and cocoa nibs or steel cut oats with peaches and lavender cream.”
