Patrick Forseth from Ozark Fishing Guides is the pro who took Will Mauterer out last week when Will caught a 20+ lb. striper. Patrick can really turn kids onto fishing. This week’s pic this is of Patrick’s own son, Lincoln, also a striper catcher. Patrick had clients who had to reschedule due to the rain and lightning, because they all had little ones with them, but when it cleared up Lincoln said he was ready to go. They got out there late to try some new techniques in new spots, and it paid off! They caught a mess of fish and quit after Lincoln limited out. See the multiple species Lincoln caught on their Facebook page.

Patrick is so personable and he’s out there working for you and your family to make the best experience happen. Book Patrick online at fishforstriper.com, or call/text (479) 876-0016.

All lake and rivers have good reports this week due to the rain. Lake Leatherwood offered pan size bream caught on crickets and red worms from Riverview Resort. That gets them every time.

Stripers are the number one species being caught on a day-to-day basis. Blue minnows, brooders and shad are the best bait this time of year. Find the bait fish on a graph trolled to that depth and it will happen.

Trout catching is still good below the Beaver Lake tailwaters, the White River. Even if you’re not fishing just go down there and touch the water, it’s so refreshing this time of the year. I believe that water has healing powers. In the past I have gone down there and asked the river a question, splashed my face with the water and have always got the right answers.
