Fishing is great everywhere you just have to get out there. Weather is shaping up nicely, hoping that Wednesday will be the same.

There is a big event on Saturday, March 11, the First Walleye Fishing Tournament held by Riverview Resort just west of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. If you live in this area, if you fish or don’t… you have to check this place out. They have amazing food, courteous help, it’s just neat walking through the store. They have all the bait and tackle you need to get out on your adventure, and Wednesday should be a big day for the Riverview Resort tourny that will start at 8 a.m., weigh in at 4:30, and a fish fry afterwards.

Top prize $1000 cash, 2nd $500, 3rd $250, 4th place is store credit of $100. Biggest fish $100. They even have a prize for the smallest legal fish (wow!) that is a $50 store credit. 25 entries, that’s a lot of boats on the water at one time, should be very interesting. They have great sponsors, Equity Bank and Montucky cold snacks.

I will be out there be taking bets on who wins.

Beaver Lake is all about crappie this week. Tailwater of Beaver Lake, the White River, is walleye, walleye, walleye.
