Fishing on White River, Y2Ks and Woollies have been the go-to flies. Hot pink Trout Magnets, trout cranks, and Berkley Flicker Shad have also been working well for trout.

The river has been busy on weekends with canoes and kayaks. Weekdays are the best time to go if you’re able to getaway. Puff up your nightcrawlers with a worm blower to help float the crawler up from the bottom and you will reach more fish.

Simply inject a little air through the needle near the worm’s collar or tail to give the worm a more natural appearance, which drives the fish crazy. That’s how Jorden Moore from Oklahoma City picked up this beauty of a trout pushing 20 inches.

Get out and get into the action. Don’t forget we also take people on sightseeing trips on the White River below Beaver Dam. These trips last 2 1/2 – 3 hours and cover waters from the dam to Beavertown. These trips do not include fishing but do offer tons of opportunities to see wildlife and lots of awesome scenery. Guests just kick back and enjoy mother nature.
