Nighthawk Custom, manufacturer of high end firearms, expanded its facility at 1306 W. Trimble on the western edge of Berryville last week, and Gov. Asa Hutchinson was on hand to cut the ribbon.

“Nighthawk fills a unique niche in the firearms market, and we are excited that this homegrown company has found success in Arkansas.” Hutchinson said. Nighthawk, founded in 2004, manufactures pistols, revolvers, shotguns and knives, and employs 52 full time workers.

Every Nighthawk pistol is made from start to finish by a single gunsmith with all parts fully machined from bar stock steel and fit to each gun by hand. At completion, the gunsmith test fires the pistol and uses a metal stamp to imprint his initials under the left grip panel.

This expansion cost more than $750,000 for the additional building and new equipment. Owner Mark Stone thanked Hutchinson and noted, “We have been blessed with a group of very talented people who have the gift of old time craftsmanship and great customer service.”
