Whenever you look through the Indy Soul you will see a long list of music nearly every day of the week in Eureka Springs: listings that have a heavy lean towards bluegrass, jazz, and Americana. But if you were looking for music as an Alternative you might want to head to the Auditorium this Friday night for Alt at the Aud. White Mansion and Barbarians of Tomorrow will be rocking the third Alt at the Aud in the basement venue. White Mansion has been described as having a dark wave, ‘80s sound and that is entirely accurate. Listening to their music is like stepping into a rainy street, lonely neon lights reflecting off dark pools of water. Their soundscape is intense and melancholy. Exactly what one wants out of their genre. Barbarians of Tomorrow have a happier sound with just as much synth pop embedded to sound familiar if you are a listener of the more mainstream. Their “All Genre Concept” has certainly sold this music listener on them with their style being able to mingle with whatever type of music they want to play.
