Ernst Otto Schick “Ernie the Barber” of Holiday Island, Ark., was born November 3, 1932, to Otto and Emilia (Weisshaar) Schick in Sulzbach/Murr-Germany. Ernst passed away February 19, 2022, in Holiday Island at age 89.
On June 18, 1960, Ernst was united in marriage to Joanna B. Schick who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his only son, Stephen Schick, and wife, Nichole; grandchildren Tyler and Jordyn Schick; along with other family members and friends.
Ernst is preceded by his parents, Otto and Emilia Schick
Memorial service was Feb. 28, 2022, at Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs, and visitation followed. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the TASO Foundation, a charity founded by Ernst’s only grandson, Tyler Schick, for the purpose of raising awareness and support for children with special needs. Donations will be accepted at the service or can be mailed to 3146 Vanessa Way, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
