Elizabeth “MeMe” Ratliff, born in Toledo, Ohio, on Dec. 8, 1929, passed away March 5, 2023. The daughter of a Swiss immigrant, she spent her youth in Brandywine, Maryland, with her holder brother Alfred and younger sister, Aileen. She met her forever love, John Russell Ratliff, on a blind date. He was in the Air Force at the time. They raised six children and traveled to places many only dream of. They were married on June 25, 1948, and for 65 years.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Holiday Island Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to American Legion Post #9, c/o Charles Welch, 19 E.
