Elizabeth Clanney of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born Sept. 3, 1937 in Englewood, Colo., daughter of Kenneth Mercer and Harriett Grace (Lawrence) Townsdin. Elizabeth passed into the arms of God on Dec. 30, 2017 in Eureka Springs, Ark., at age 80.
Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and watching hummingbirds. She also enjoyed all types of crafting and cross stitching. Elizabeth spent most of her adult life living and caring for her mother, who was her best friend. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be truly missed by all.
She is survived by her two sons, Ralph Lee Clanney and Peaches Spiritwalker of Berryville, Ark.; Kenneth William Clanney and wife, Tamela, of Holiday Island, Ark.; sister, Ruth Townsdin and spouse, M.J., of Des Moines, Iowa; two grandsons, Shane Myers and Eric Clanney; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Visitation will be 10 – 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2017 at Nelson’s Chapel of the Springs, Eureka Springs, with service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
