This weekend there’s a line-up of events with a broad appeal being held at Heart of Many Ways at 68 Mountain St., as the culmination of their nine-day Earth Celebration. On Friday evening at 7 p.m., Hu Dost brings an album release music concert with a water theme – “Of Water and Mercy.”

Saturday’s offerings will go from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. Music with the Sacred Earth ensemble is headed by special guest Maronda Rice from Hawaii, and will be woven in throughout the day.

Morning speakers include Pat Costner who has important information to share about the soil beneath our feet. The next speaker, Joyce Hicks, whose life is dedicated to rescuing injured turtles will bring some turtles to meet you, and Lillia Beatte, who teaches our local Master Naturalist class, will share about frog calls in her lively style which appeals to all ages.

In the afternoon there will be a production of two plays by local playwright, V.E. Kimberlin, featuring animal characters (rated PG13). Guest Speaker Lisa Whipplinger of the National Water Center will speak about water and bring us a water blessing, and the day will then end with more music.
