Doug Kent – hear his stories

693

Doug Kent is a traveling Texan from New Braunfels, who with only his guitar and voice conveys true emotion though songwriting. He keeps a George Jones quote in mind when writing – “When you’re happy you enjoy the music, but when you’re sad, you understand the lyrics.” and ole George has guided him well. Kent’s music is Americana tinged with country and tells stories of real life and how we are all walking that line between crazy and dead (from his single “Crazy and Dead.” After trying his hand at every other job imaginable, he is dedicated to making music that moves you literally and figuratively. There are two chances to hear him on Saturday, the Rowdy Beaver Den at noon and the Rowdy Beaver Tavern at 7 p.m.
