Donald Nelson Soderberg of Holiday Island, Ark., passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2025, at age 84. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mariellen Griffith, and two sons, James and John Soderberg.
He was born on May 24, 1941, in South Bend, Indiana. His formal education included Purdue, Notre Dame and Tulane Universities, culminating in his Ph.D in Management Science from Tulane.
Don worked in academic and business organizations. He also spent 10 years in the Army, with the last year at the Pentagon.
In 2010 he retired from Illinois Graphics, Inc., after 15 years as CEO/COO, and then moved to the Arkansas Ozarks.
He co-authored Conspiracy on Mars (2021) with Mariellen Griffith and wrote chapters in Not Dead Yet I (2019) and Not Dead Yet II (2020).
