Carroll County Sheriff Randy Mayfield notified media that shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, deputies were dispatched to a stabbing at 2531 CR 148, close to the Madison County line, where they made contact with resident Landon Vanzant, 43, and stabbing victim Nathan Wicks, 40, of Neosho, Mo.
Wicks suffered multiple stab wounds to the stomach area and was transported by helicopter to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville.
CCSO investigators interviewed Vanzant at the Sheriff’s Office, and expect to interview Wicks. No arrest was made.
