Darlene Parker of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born October 2, 1955, to Maurice Lycan and Cleda McMurphy in Kansas City, Mo. Darlene passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, in Eureka Springs at age 66.
Darlene attended Church on the Hill, First Assembly of God in Berryville. She worked for Greg Thurman for almost 20 years. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and generosity, her contagious joy, and her smile that would brighten any room she walked into.
Darlene is survived by her children Adam Parker and Sarah Anderson; two granddaughters Nora and Olive Anderson; sister Marcea Harms; stepmother Linda Robinson.
She is preceded by her parents Maurice Lycan and Cleda McMurphy; brother Dennis Lycan; and stepfather James Robinson.
A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Church on the Hill in Berryville, Ark., with Pastor Keith Butler officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 2520 Elisha Ave, Zion, IL 60099.
