NUTS stands for Never Understand The Stupidity.
June’s award goes to anyone who lets the Auditorium marquee sign to be unreadable because of the two redbud trees that obscure it.
You must stop your vehicle and block the parking lot driveway and flow of traffic, and that not giving time to read the sign.
Naturally, the city fathers and mothers will cite the slippery slope excuse that all citizens will want to chainsaw their nuisance tree. No, the two can be whacked and the other 179,412 trees in town can stand.
If the city leadership lacks blood to the brain, then put this issue up to a taxpayer vote.
