Editor,
I may be naive, but I do not understand why any Republican, elected official is still supporting President Trump. It is obvious, from the evidence that has been revealed, that he is corrupt. He has also been exposed as inept.
I suppose men like Senator Cotton are more loyal to President Trump than to the Constitution he swore to protect and defend. Our democracy is at stake. A Republican representative could be courageous and speak out against corruption and misuse of power.
Maybe the Republicans who still support Trump agree with his predecessor Richard Nixon who said, “When the president does it, it is not illegal.”
