November 7

8:45 a.m. – Animal Control tried to catch a small dog running loose in a parking lot but could not. He went to the owner’s home and the dog was there already but the owner was not.

10:18 a.m. – The same dog was scampering down Main Street. This time Animal Control captured it and left a message for the owner.

2:12 p.m. – Caller alerted ESPD to a domestic confrontation in progress that involved the caller’s daughter and a male. Constables went to the scene, but both participants had already left together peaceably. Constable called the female who said things were just fine.

6:52 p.m. – ESFD responded to a residential smoke alarm and discovered it was a false alarm.

November 8

1:09 p.m. – A vehicle bumped the side of a building.

8:15 p.m. – Constables responded to a motel where a male was reportedly causing a scene. EMS transported him to ESH.

10:13 p.m. – Constable intervened with a female threatening suicide. He was able to disarm her and she went with him to ESH for an evaluation.

November 9

12:57 a.m. – Girlfriend told ESPD her boyfriend was acting crazy again. Constables arrested him for public intoxication and an open container.

November 11

3:10 a.m. – Constable responded to an alarm at a business and found a back window broken but no signs of entry.

3:44 a.m. – Not far away on US 62, there was another alarm at a business and the constable found a front window broken. Some items had been taken.

2:51 p.m. – Sagging phone line got hung up between the cab and trailer of a truck near the Auditorium. Constable responded, the truck was cleared and the phone company notified to come fix their line.

November 12

6:53 a.m. – Individual knocked on a door near downtown. The inhabitants did not know him and sent him on his way. A constable encountered him and learned he had broken his phone and wanted to find another one so he could call his friends.

3:59 p.m. – A constable assisted EMS with a fall victim.

6:44 p.m. – Constable took a report of a vehicle theft.

8:38 p.m. – Constables and ESFD responded to a disturbance at a residence just east of downtown.

November 13

1:33 a.m. – Individual staggering down a roadway was arrested for public intoxication.

2:04 a.m. – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver for speeding, DWI, implied consent and driving left of center.

5:18 a.m. – Resident near downtown told ESPD her dog was barking as though there were something near her residence. Constable looked around but found nothing unusual.

10:12 a.m. – Car owner reported his vehicle had been keyed.

9:50 p.m. – Patron at a downtown bar would not cooperate after being asked to leave the premises. Constables found him lying outside and arrested him for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

10:43 p.m. – Witness downtown claimed a naked male was running up and down the street. Constables found him and EMS transported him to ESH.

November 14

2:25 a.m. – Alarm at a downtown business was triggered but the constable found the building secure.

2:51 a.m. – Same resident and dog as before were alerted by something possibly nearby but the responding constable again found nothing out of the ordinary.
